Screw Up Tuesday

Posted in Screw Up Tuesday on July 8, 2008 by Lisa Black

Hi Everyone

Now remember that thanks to Bettina we have Screw Up Tuesday.

I forgot to post for Screw Up Tuesday last week, so you will have 2 weeks worth of screw ups

Ok, here goes:

  1. My DS went shopping with DD and I, we were in the elevator. We walked out of the elevator to see DS jump with fright. When we asked him what was wrong he said that said that he thought he saw someone else walking out too, but it ended up being his own reflection. I had to sit down I was laughing that hard.
  2. I decided to tint my eyebrow as I do once a month, but I had forgot that I still had tint all over the place when I answered the door to the next doors neighbours knock.
  3. I left for work today, and realised that I left my phone on the bedside table. then I went to buzz myself into work, but guess where my security pass was. Yep you guessed it, on my bedside table. I went to put my lunch in the fridge, to find that I left it in the car.

I’m sure there is more but I am getting tired, and I’m still giggling about my DS.

Smiley Saturday

Posted in Smiley Saturday on July 5, 2008 by Lisa Black

Jodi in SA is Ligthening Online and I’m getting better at remembering to post, it now been 3 weeks in a row.

This week I’m smiling for the following reasons:

  • Because its raining here, in sunny Queensland. it has rained off and on all day. So it has been a nice and relaxing day. Thank goodness as I have had a shocking headache for most of the day.
  • Because I have 2 beautiful kids, that I love and would move heaven and earth for them.
  • Because DD knows how to ask for help when she needs it and that she isn’t too big to want Mum and Dad. And to sit on Mums knee for a cuddle when things get too much.

Well, I’m off to bed again. Hopefully I will loose this headache once and for all.

Night. Happy Smiley Saturday for everyone.

Smiley Saturday!

Posted in Smiley Saturday on June 28, 2008 by Lisa Black

Jodi in SA is Ligthening Online and she started Smiley Saturday. Again I have remembered to post for smiley saturday. 2 weeks in a row now.

This week I’m smiling for the following reasons:

  • Because caring for people is a good thing
  • Because my house is still fairly tidy or will only take 15mins to do
  • Because I have a bakery that sells coffee close by, darn I forgot to buy the milk.
  • Because I have some time to myself
  • Because I could hug a friend after her pet was put down at the Vets yesterday
  • Because I’m arranging a newish car for me, mind you I need to go to Townsville to collect it
  • Because I can smile, but also find a lump in my throat when I read the news, or visit another bloggers page and read the beautiful post that reminds you of why we take our vows.

Well, that is all for me at the moment.

Punk Rock Mommy

Tonight I read a blog that I have done on nearly a daily basis since I found Flylady. I can’t remember where I found this site but I am glad I did.

Tonight I read the lastest post at Punk Rock Mommy.

Tonight I couldn’t stop the tears from flowing down my face, Kelly’s post about his darling wife touched my heart. Its hard for them, but they are all so strong.

Andrea is amazing and so strong, their family are so strong as well.

Andrea’s post’s about her children and how proud she is of her children. How they all feel at this time of need.

I’m not sure what more I can say so I will leave this post for now.

Watching Today Tonight this evening, I couldn’t take my eyes off the tv.

I found a recommendation to read a book from another blog page (sorry can’t remember which blog), I found it at the library and couldn’t wait to borrow it.

It is written by Cheryl Koenig about her son, whom was hit by a car.

The teens in my house. ;)

Posted in General, Kids on June 21, 2008 by Lisa Black

I have 3 extra teens in my house for the weekend. 2 boys and 1 girls.

I went shopping to get extra bits for them to have, an extra $100 spent. But the got the works, lollies, drinks, chips, they want a Roast Dinner tonight as they don’t get them cooked at home for them. (Which amazes me! How can anyone live without having a Roast Dinner once a week.), Bacon and eggs for breakfast this morning (which they cooked for everyone).

They all settled in really well and i ventered down to the room to say Hi to find DD sitting on one of the boys, which is ok by me. It means she is finally over her boyfriend that she spilt from last week.

I’m really impressed by this boy (Sam)! He is spending time with DD brother and has spent more time with him that the x did in 2-1/2 years. To the point the shared and sat on the bean bag together while playing the Wii.

Infact they are all spending time with DS, it really is amazing me!
